The article in the New York Times speaks about the religion of Voodoo and how it has been altered in to a twisted display of a religion. It also talks about how people have used Voodoo and displayed it incorrectly whether that be in a film, or just using it as the term to mean fraudulent. I learned that Voodoo over time has been used in a negative manner and that it has been portrayed as an evil sinister type of black magic that is practiced like sorcery. But in reality it is a true religion that has values and beliefs like any other, it seems as if the media just doesn't respect that fact.
