Illegal Immigration and ICE

The movie showed a point of view that is shared by much of the Democratic party, who also tried to enact the Dream Act last year which failed to pass. Although I agree that many of these detention centers should have better conditions, there is really no way of getting around the fact that the law is what it is. There is a process that immigrants go through to come to the United States, and it should be respected by those who come into our country. The fact is there are millions of illegal immigrants in our country who are taking free healthcare and education, and do not have to pay taxes to the government because they do not live here technically. My solution is if they change the law and the process of immigration, then we can have a discussion about what to do then. Yes, many illegals are in a bind, they have their reasons for coming here and there will be collateral damage when people get deported. But if the law isn't followed, it puts into question many other laws that are in place. Every law is there for a reason.
