Illegal Immigration
The movie that we watched yesterday in class provided an interesting view on illegal immigration. It gave a different perspective than what is normally perceived by the media. My initial reaction to the film was that if you were an illegal alien in the country than you should be deported. After thinking about for a while, I came to the realization that as long as a person is contributing to society then they can stay. But if a person commits a crime and becomes a burden on society or just isnt helping to make the community better, then they need to be deported.

You raise valid points. The problem arises when the government tries to identify those who are a burden or danger to society. Secure Communities casts a wide net that sometimes has a chilling effect on the greater community.
